Social Media
As part of my placement, I collaborated with Parks Canada to create and design multiple social media posts promoting Canada’s parks and destinations. Working from an established set of brand guidelines, I developed three sets of social media teasers, ensuring each concept aligned with the organization’s visual identity while remaining engaging and suited to a digital audience.
I met with the Social Media Manager to discuss the project goals, creative direction, and key requirements. Using the information from this meeting, I translated the provided direction and brand guidelines into cohesive social media concepts designed to capture attention and encourage audiences to explore Canada’s parks.

Process & Tools
I began by sourcing photography from the Canadian Geographic PhotoShare, focusing on images that showcased the landscapes and nature found in Canada’s provincial parks. I brought the selected images into Photoshop and applied the provided treatment to transform them into a stylized, cartoon and oil-painting-inspired illustration.
I created multiple mockups to explore different visual directions before selecting the final imagery. I then brought the chosen designs into InDesign, where I incorporated the provided branding elements, including the white content block, masked edge, approved typeface, logos, and the tagline “Canada’s heritage, Canada’s nature.”
For the final teaser, I used a panoramic mountain landscape and masked sections of the mountains so the tagline could sit naturally both behind and in front of the peaks. I finished the layout in InDesign by adding a subtle white fade at the bottom, helping the logos stand out against the landscape.
